Richard Kindig of Staunton, VA says, "Here's how to build a 20 X 24 shop on columns in three easy steps:
1. Dig holes
2. Pour columns on Bigfoot footers
3. Erect building"

"Actually," he admits, "step one was a lot of work. I couldn't find a big enough augar so we made the holes with a back hoe . . . Otherwise it went well and cost about half of the cost quoted for a block foundation."
